Painting with Metal Leaf: Add some BLING in your Project
Gold leaf is a decorative material that has been used for thousands of years in artworks, architecture, furniture, and now it’s great to bring some bling to projects.  Now you can learn how to use gold metal leaf yourself! In this workshop Christine Steinmiller will demonstrate how to apply metal leaf and metal leaf flakes to various surfaces in mixed media art. You will learn how to prepare your surface,  adhesive application, about all the different metals available, how to apply the metal leaf, and how to seal it. You will learn everything you need to know how to continue adding bling at home with the Mona Lisa Gold Leaf Kit that you get to take home. AND you get to create your own unique masterpiece during the workshop.
Each participant will receive a Mona Lisa Gold Leaf kit to use and take home, a black gessoed canvas for their own artwork, along with all other necessary supplies needed to complete it in the workshop. This will be a fun workshop with a lot of bling.

    • We are located at 145 W Main St. in Cambridge, WI. There is ample public parking behind the building. We request that all class participants enter through our rear door after business hours - anytime after 5:00 pm. Our classes take place at the back of the building, you may use the front door during open hours.

    • We MUST receive 4+ registrations to hold a class, registration closes one week prior to class start date. If the class does not meet minimum registration, it is subject to reschedule or cancellation. We always prioritize rescheduling a class first.  If a class is rescheduled, you will have the option to sign up for the rescheduled date, or be issued credit towards a future class. If we are not able to reschedule and must cancel a class, we will issue you credit towards a future class (no cash refunds). If you aren’t able to attend the class and it is past the registration deadline, no class credit will be issued.

    • All tools and materials will be supplied by Art Hub for your class, unless otherwise noted.

    • This is an active art environment, dress for a mess! Art Hub has aprons you can use, and you are also welcome / encouraged to bring your own apron.
