Zentangled Artist Trading Cards
In this class you will get the tools and skills needed to create beautiful, small works of art using the Zentangle® Method of drawing. This meditative art form uses quality art supplies and simple instructions to create patterns to explore non-representational art. It is perfect for the person who has always wanted to create art but didn’t know where to start. However, it also provides techniques that will inspire more experienced artists. It is a great daily art practice. 
 
Artist trading cards are 2.5 by 3.5 inches in size, the same format as modern trading cards or playing cards. They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the creator, exchanged and collected by people who participate in the collaboration. There are many, many ways to engage with other artists through ATCs.
 
We will use 2 Zentangle® patterns to decorate some Artist Trading Cards. These patterns can be done simply or can get very complicated. We will start simply and you will be encouraged to explore variations on the patterns and playing with adding color. You will have a selection of cards at the end of class that you can trade with classmate or take home. All supplies are included.

    • We are located at 145 W Main St. in Cambridge, WI. There is ample public parking behind the building. We request that all class participants enter through our rear door after business hours - anytime after 5:00 pm. Our classes take place at the back of the building, you may use the front door during open hours.

    • We MUST receive 4+ registrations to hold a class, registration closes one week prior to class start date. If the class does not meet minimum registration, it is subject to reschedule or cancellation. We always prioritize rescheduling a class first.  If a class is rescheduled, you will have the option to sign up for the rescheduled date, or be issued credit towards a future class. If we are not able to reschedule and must cancel a class, we will issue you credit towards a future class (no cash refunds). If you aren’t able to attend the class and it is past the registration deadline, no class credit will be issued.

    • All tools and materials will be supplied by Art Hub for your class, unless otherwise noted.

    • This is an active art environment, dress for a mess! Art Hub has aprons you can use, and you are also welcome / encouraged to bring your own apron.
