Gelli printing is one of the most fun, absorbing things to do ever! Don’t take my word for it, come play with me in this class that will explore gelatin printing. This method of getting paint on paper offers a wealth of creative possibilities. We will start with the basics of gelli printing and will explore color, texture, layers and technical considerations. You will use a variety of household items, as well as leaves and flowers, to create textures and designs. We will also use some stencils and experiment with layering colors in different combinations. You will learn how to make your own masks to incorporate your favorite shapes into your prints. The papers you print can be used in collage, background papers, art journaling, book making and to create unique monoprint pieces of art. By the end of the class you will have at least one finished monoprint.
