Have a sewing machine sitting in the closet but no idea how to use it? This is the class for you!
Sewing Machine 101 is a hands-on workshop designed for complete beginners. We'll cover the basic parts of a sewing machine, what each one does, how to thread your machine, wind a bobbin, and practice stitching on scrap fabric while building confidence along the way.
No projects will be made in this class. The focus is on learning how to operate your sewing machine so you feel comfortable and ready to tackle future sewing projects.
If you have your own sewing machine, we encourage you to bring it so you can become familiar with using it. We will have a few extra machines available for those who don't have one.
Please note: This class is intended to teach the basics of using a sewing machine. Our instructor is most familiar with modern machines and will not be repairing or servicing machines during class.
