Have a sewing machine at home but no idea how to use it? This after-school class is the perfect place to start!

Students will learn the basics of sewing machine safety and operation, including how to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, sew straight lines and curves, and troubleshoot common problems. We'll practice on scrap fabric as students build confidence and become comfortable using a sewing machine.

No projects will be made in this class. Instead, we'll focus on building the skills needed to tackle future sewing projects with confidence.

Please bring your own sewing machine if you have one. We have a limited number of machines available for students who don't have their own.

Please note: This class is intended to teach the basics of using a sewing machine. Our instructor is most familiar with modern machines and will not be repairing or servicing machines during class.
