Intro to Drawing
Have you wanted to improve your drawing skills? Has it been a while since you picked up a pencil and drawn? Do you want to learn more about the fundamentals and principles of drawing in a supportive learning environment? This is the class for you!
 
Along with your instructor, Katie Hogan (@katie.hogan.art), you'll learn about perspective, shading, composition, line weight, drawing the figure, and other basic drawing principles over the course of 4 weeks. You'll advance your drawing skills, be able to ask questions, and receive feedback throughout. Students will use a variety of materials such as pencils, charcoal, and ballpoint pens, primarily working in black and white. All supplies will be provided. Let’s bring it back to the basics and relearn to draw!

    • We are located at 145 W Main St. in Cambridge, WI. There is ample public parking behind the building. We request that all class participants enter through our rear door after business hours - anytime after 5:00 pm. Our classes take place at the back of the building, you may use the front door during open hours.

    • We MUST receive 4+ registrations to hold a class, registration closes one week prior to class start date. If the class does not meet minimum registration, it is subject to reschedule or cancellation. We always prioritize rescheduling a class first.  If a class is rescheduled, you will have the option to sign up for the rescheduled date, or be issued credit towards a future class. If we are not able to reschedule and must cancel a class, we will issue you credit towards a future class (no cash refunds). If you aren’t able to attend the class and it is past the registration deadline, no class credit will be issued.

    • All tools and materials will be supplied by Art Hub for your class, unless otherwise noted.

    • This is an active art environment, dress for a mess! Art Hub has aprons you can use, and you are also welcome / encouraged to bring your own apron.
