In this workshop, students will learn how to transform wool fibers into a beautiful flat piece of felted artwork that can be framed or used to create a one-of-a-kind greeting card. We'll begin by exploring color blending and layout techniques, then layer and shape wool into your design. Using warm soapy water and gentle agitation, you'll discover how the fibers lock together to form a seamless piece of felt. After we are done with the wet felting process, you will have the option to add even more details using the needle felting technique. By the end of class, you'll leave with a finished felted picture and the skills to keep creating your own unique wool "paintings" at home! All supplies are included.
